The New Birth of Freedom Council would like to welcome Christopher Lontz who will serve as the new Battlefield District executive starting on September 4th.
Chris is a recent graduate of Mansfield University with a B.S. in Chemistry. After spending 8 summers on camp staff at Hidden Valley Scout Reservation, Chris has decided to continue giving back to the New Birth of Freedom Council by pursuing a career in professional scouting. He is thrilled to serve the Battlefield District’s units and volunteers.
In his free time, Chris can be found either helping out at Hidden Valley as a shooting range instructor for shotgun and/or rifle or working at his family’s pet shop, Blue Dog Pet Shop, in Lemoyne. Chris also enjoys playing a variety of brass instruments, primarily trombone, and watching Pittsburgh football/hockey.
