For the first time in the history of the BSA, girls will be able to be able to embark on the Trail to Eagle. Starting February 1, 2019, all-girl or linked troops will officially be established. Between now and February, we will be working to charter these troops that will welcome the BSA’s newest members.
On November 29 at 7:00 PM the New Birth of Freedom Council will be hosting a virtual information session for chartered organizations, leaders, volunteers, and anyone interested in helping to create opportunities for young women to begin their journey in the Scouts BSA program.
The information session will cover:
- The difference between an all-girl troop and a linked troop
- The steps required to start a Scouts BSA troop
- Recruiting Scouts and Volunteers
- Program Planning
- …And more!
If you are interested in participating in this important information session or just want to find out more about what is required to start an all-girl or linked troop, please follow this link to register.
The session will be conducted using an online program called Go To Meeting. Registrants will be provided information on how to log in the week of the information session.
