Information about Merit Badge Colleges
A Merit Badge College or Camporee is an organized event designed to offer multiple merit badge opportunities with several counselors to Scouts from three or more units. This policy applies to existing and future events such as Newville/Conococheague, East Shore/Keystone Capital, STEM/Pioneer, Carlisle/Troop 168, and Troop 90 Merit Badge Camporee. It does not apply to individual counselors offering a single merit badge to Scouts from multiple units.
Examples:
- A single merit badge counselor inviting other units to their badge session does not need to submit a form.
- An event with multiple counselors offering multiple badges to Scouts from three or more units must follow this policy and submit an Application of Intent.
